Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy will give remarks Tuesday afternoon providing an update on the probe into the January crash near Reagan Washington National Airport that killed more than 60 people.
The collision between an Army Black Hawk helicopter and American Airlines passenger plane drew scrutiny about the shortage of air traffic controllers and protocols for how high helicopters should fly. President Trump lashed out at the Federal Aviation Administration following the deadly crash and vowed to overhaul the agency.
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is set to unveil its preliminary report on the aviation incident at 2 p.m. EDT.
Duffy's remarks are scheduled to follow at 4 p.m. EDT.
