Live updates: Trump's Cabinet talks Texas flooding, tariffs, Iran attacks

President Trump is meeting with his Cabinet at the White House amid a swirl of activity on trade, foreign policy and more.

Trump also talked about the deadly Texas flooding and said he will visit the area on Friday.

The president discussed new tariff letters sent out on Monday to several countries, adding that the Aug. 1 tariff deadline allows for deals, which he said are the deals he's giving countries to correct a trade imbalance. “We could make a lot for deals, it's just too time-consuming, makes things a little more time-consuming,” Trump said.

Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu spends Tuesday in D.C. after meeting Monday evening at the White House. He met with Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) on Tuesday morning and will meet with a bipartisan group of senators in the afternoon.
