On Capitol Hill, Republicans celebrated a win in the budget process, as House Budget panel approving the chamber's reconciliation bill in a late Sunday vote. Negotiations are continuing, though, on sticky issues in the plan, like SALT and cuts that would lower the deficit.
Early Monday, a day after it was announced Joe Biden has prostate cancer, the former president put out a new statement in a post on X.
"Cancer touches us all. Like so many of you, Jill and I have learned that we are strongest in the broken places. Thank you for lifting us up with love and support," he said, posting a photo of himself with former first lady Jill Biden.
