Flag bearer collapses in front of White House

A flag bearer outside the White House collapsed ahead of the arrival ceremony for South African President Cyril Ramaphosa's meeting with President Trump on Wednesday.

The fall backward was seen on video from cameras waiting to capture Ramaphosa's arrival.

According to a White House pool report, the man seemed to faint into the grass but was quickly roused and helped off to the side. 

Video showed other service members helped the honor guard stand up and walk over to the side.

Joint Forces Honor Guard members regularly participate in the formal ceremonial arrivals of world leaders.

The White House didn't immediately respond to The Hill's request for an update on the flag bearer's health.
